Chinese Film Festival opens in South Korea

THE first Chinese Film Festival in South Korea opened in Seoul on Saturday.

Chinese actor Chen Kun and South Korean actress Kim Hee-sun were named the image ambassadors for the festival.

Chinese mainland director Lu Chuan’s film “The Missing Gun” was the opening film. The director along with several Chinese stars and filmmakers appeared at the opening ceremony Saturday night in the South Korean capital.

Other Chinese films to be shown during the three-day event include “The Music Box” by late Shanghai director Chen Yifei, “A World Without Thieves” and “The Dream Factory,” both by director Feng Xiaogang, and the 1963 historical film “Early Spring in February” directed by Xie Tieli. (SD-Agencies)
