New Vision exhibition
New Vision ’06, the third exhibition of oil paintings from art academy graduates around the country, is designed to provide a space for young artists to show their works.
More than 100 paintings from 30 graduates of nine distinguished art academies, including the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy of Arts and Design under Qinghua University and China Academy of Art, will be displayed.

The 2nd China
Youth Print Show
To showcase the latest development of prints in China, of 80 prints by 10 young artists from all over the country are being exhibited in Guan Shanyue Art Museum.
Born in the 1960s or early 1970s, participating artists, including Yang Feng, Fan Min, Li Quanmin and Su Yansheng, are among the best known in the country.

Xu Fuhou oil paintings Some 50 oil paintings by Xu Fuhou, dean and professor at the Fine Art College of Hebei Normal University, are on display at the Shenzhen Art Museum through Sept. 17.
These works, all done by Xu since the mid-1990s, show the artist’s endeavor to create a poetic world of classicism in the changing times of postmodernism.

Russian ballet
Jekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater from Russia will make their debut in Shenzhen with the ballet classic “Swan Lake” on Sept. 29 and 30. This is the 94-year-old troupe’s first visit to China. Shenzhen is the second stop on their China tour after Shanghai.
