The Vienna Imperial Orchestra will present two New Year's concerts in Shenzhen on the last two nights of 2006.

The concerts are a magnificent musical showcase of world-famous waltzes, polkas and marches of Austrian masters whose music enchanted the world.

The orchestra will present pieces from Strauss, Bizet and Brahms. "Radetzky March," "Sounds of Spring," and "The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss will be the feature of the concerts. "Liangzhu," a famous Chinese piece by composer Chen Gang will be a special gift for the local audience.

The orchestra will also give a concert at the People's Great Hall in Beijing on Christmas night. (Li Dan)
