Shenzhen’s annual Project Care was launched across the city’s six districts on January 22 in a bid to help poor families and disadvantaged groups. Do you have any plan to do something for people in need? What are you going to do?

First of all, I would never hesitate giving a hand to poor and disabled people if I happen to see them in need of help. I’ll help the blind cross the streets or help my classmate who is poor with his lessons. Secondly, I’d like to donate books, clothes and money to impoverished families and disadvantaged groups through various kinds of donation activities held by my school or community.
Last but not least, I’ll organize people around me to help and extend our love. My mother is the administrative manager of her company. So I’ll persuade her to hold a donation activity in her company to help raise money for those in need. I believe if everyone tries to contribute a little, we’ll make disadvantaged people’s lives better.

Once you help others, you will gain a kind of happy feeling, which you will never forget. I have had such an experience. About half a year ago, organized by our school, some classmates and I visited a place called “home for the elderly.” We brought some fresh fruit for them. After arriving there, we chatted with the elderly people living there.
We were told that their children were so busy that they seldom came to visit. Although they live in a beautiful place, they were in fact very lonely. What they need is just someone to talk with. We told them many stories and also listened to their stories. The visit made me very happy. From then on, I started to look after my neighbors — an old couple — from time to time.
