POLICE in Guangdong Province caught the driver of a van Saturday who fled after his van allegedly killed three policemen on a highway linking Beijing and Zhuhai, the Nanfang Daily reported yesterday.

Duan Yiyi’s van allegedly hit the three traffic policemen on the Hunan-Guangdong section of the highway last week.

Two policemen died at the scene, and one died later in hospital.

Witnesses told the police that the driver climbed out of the vehicle and ran away right after the accident.
