CHINA Southern Industrial Auto Co., the carmaking conglomerate that includes Chongqing Chang’an Automobile Co., is planning a stock market listing, a senior company executive said Monday.

Yin Jiaxu, general manager of China Southern Industrial Auto, said the listing would either go ahead this year or in 2008. No decision has been made on whether the company would choose China’s domestic A-share market for the initial public offering (IPO), or list its shares abroad, he said.
