2nd phase of wind farm project approved CHINA Longyuan Electric Power Corp. has secured approval from the economic planning agency for the second phase of a wind farm project in northeastern Jilin Province. The Tongyu wind farm will have an installed capacity of 100.3 megawatts comprising 118 turbines capable of generating 850 kilowatts each, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said Thursday in a statement on its Web site. A total of 845.91 million yuan (US$109 million) will be invested in the wind farm project, which has permission from the NDRC to operate for 25 years. PSA Intl. gets ok for Dongguan port project SINGAPORE’S PSA International Ltd. has won approval to participate in a 1.22 billion yuan expansion of a container port in Dongguan, the Straits Times reported, citing a statement from the Chinese Government. PSA and Dongguan Humen Port Holdings will add two berths to a port in the Pearl River Delta region, a project due for completion by March 2008, the paper said. A spokesperson from PSA declined to reveal the size of PSA’s investment.
