The National Gemstone Testing Center (NGTC) is carrying out its annual free testing of jewelry in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai.

Owners wanting to test the purity of their gems should bring their identification cards, receipts, invoices and any other purchase documents with them.

Customers can also dial 12315 and 12365 to report any complaints after purchasing jewelry to the Shenzhen Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.
