Pakistan cricket chief resigns
    2007年03月21日

PAKISTAN cricket chief Naseem Ashraf has resigned after the country’s shocking early exit from the World Cup, local newspapers reported yesterday.

Pakistan cricket has been in crisis in the last three days since Ireland handed it a stunning defeat Saturday.

Coach Bob Woolmer died after less than 24 hours in the team’s hotel in Jamaica.

Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq then announced his retirement from limited-overs games.

No official cause of Woolmer’s death has yet been given, with Pakistan’s media manager Pervez Mir saying: “We are waiting for medical reports.”
