Recently I was stunned by the news that one of my friends had been married for some time and had a newly born daughter. I couldn’t believe that someone almost the same age as me was experiencing a totally different life from me. He was my junior school classmate. After graduating from junior school, he didn’t continue his education. Instead, he went into business. Now, he has a decent job, a decent apartment and a decent family. Recovering from the shock, I can just say everyone has his own path in life. And here I am, a sophomore student, burying myself in books all day, worrying about my future and waiting for my Mr. Right somewhere in the world to come along for me. I also begin to think about my ideal life. I want to be an English writer — not a very famous one, but enjoy a little popularity and have some readers who really appreciate and love my works. I want to spend 90 percent of the money I earn to satisfy my shopping addiction, go on a journey by myself to experience a new life, and write down what I see, hear and sense. I don’t know whether my dream can come true or not, but I will try my best to find my own path in life.
