TAIWAN singer Shino Lin was involved in a car accident Wednesday morning in Taipei, which killed a 41-year-old nurse.

The Sina.com Web site reported the intoxicated singer was driving in heavy rain at 5 a.m. after a late-night party and crashed into the motorbike of a nurse who was getting off work.

The nurse, whose surname is also Lin, suffered multiple fractures including severe injuries to the skull. She was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

Shino Lin did not suffer injuries. She was taken to a police station for investigation and released the same day after she posted bail of NTD$100,000 (US$3,019). According to Taiwan media, she risks being sentenced to two years in prison, and also having her driving license revoked.(SD-Agencies)
