    2007年08月16日  01:15    Shenzhen Daily

MICHAEL JACKSON’S former entertainment lawyers fi led a lawsuit Tuesday claiming the singer owes them more than US$113,000.

The law fi rm Lavely & Singer of Los Angeles says Jackson agreed in arbitration last year to pay them US$180,000 in three installments.

Jackson failed to make the fi nal payment of US$113,750 before the July 31, 2007 deadline stipulated in the settlement, the fi rm alleges in a complaint fi led in Los Angeles Superior Court.

A message left for Jackson’s publicist, Raymone Bain, was not immediately returned Tuesday. His lawyer, Christopher Mellott, could not be reached after hours Tuesday.

A judge last month ordered the 48-year-old pop singer to pay more than US$256,000 in legal fees to another fi rm that handled some side issues during his 2005 child molestation trial.

Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges in the case. (SD-Agencies)
