FIVE-TIME European champion Liverpool, Lazio and Glasgow Rangers qualified Tuesday night for the European Champions League’s 32-team field. Liverpool, which lost to AC Milan in last year’s final, beat visiting Toulouse 4-0 as Dirk Kuyt scored twice in the last three minutes following goal by Peter Crouch and Sami Hyppia. Liverpool won the home-and-away, two-leg tie 5-0 and joined English rivals Manchester United and Chelsea in the first round. Crouch now has eight goals in his last 10 starts in the competition, which should help his cause as he tries to persuade Rafael Benitez and England coach Steve McClaren that he is worthy of a regular place in their teams.SD-Agencies)
