Shenzhen’s successful bid for the 26th Summer Universiade has inspired a great sense of pride in every citizen. In the coming citywide speech contest entitled “A Date with Universiade,” Shenzhen’s primary and middle school students will express their pride, enthusiasm and anticipation for the event to be held in 2011. The Shenzhen Daily, one of the organizers of the contest, today publishes an eight-page special covering the Universiade’s history, development and current situation.
