Taiwan mail stamped with 'for U.N.' sent back
    2007年11月15日  02:21    Shenzhen Daily

THE Chinese mainland has returned all letters and parcels postmarked “Taiwan’s entry into the United Nations” to Taiwan, a mainland spokeswoman said.

Recently, the Taiwan authority instigated Taiwan’s postal company to stamp the postmark “Taiwan’s entry into the U.N.” on letters and parcels to preach “Taiwan independence.”

“Taiwan authority preaching ‘Taiwan independence’ through post services has infringed on Taiwan compatriots’ freedom of communication,” mainland spokesperson Fan Liqing said yesterday.

“This has seriously impaired the exchanges of letters between people on the two sides of the Taiwan Straits as well as Taiwan people’s exchanges with other parts of the world,” she said.(Xinhua)
