快速公交线

11月19日，深圳市政府向市人大常委会汇报了深圳市快速公交1号线规划情况。根据最新方案，深圳市首条快速公交定为笋岗路通道，主线从西丽龙珠至火车站，线路总长23.28公里。请看本报昨日报道：

Construction on Shenzhen's first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line connecting Shenzhen Railway Station in Luohu District and Xili in Nanshan District will start by the end of this year.

Stretching 23.28 kilometers, the 1.67-billion-yuan (US$220-million) BRT project will be put into use by the end of 2008, according to a plan unveiled by the city government Monday.

由报道可知：BRT就是快速公交线，"transit"在这里作名词，就是“a facility consisting of the means and equipment necessary for the movement of passengers or goods"，也就是运输系统的意思。
