Mercury to drop in SZ
    2007年11月26日  05:21    Shenzhen Daily

Cui Xiaoli

A COLD front flowing down from the north and the peripheral influence of a tropical typhoon will see temperatures drop to a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius and strong winds in Shenzhen this week.

Sources from the city’s meteorological observatory said a strong flow of cold air from Siberia had influenced most parts of China starting Friday. Shenzhen will experience northeasterly winds below Force 3 today and tomorrow. Temperatures will be five to eight degrees Celsius lower than last week.

For today and tomorrow, it will be cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 15 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius. From Wednesday to Friday, temperatures will fall dramatically to a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius.

The 24th tropical storm Mitag and 25th tropical storm Hagibis, which formed recently off the southern Philippines and in South China Sea separately, have no direct impact on Shenzhen, according to sources from the Shenzhen Meteorological Office.

Meteorological experts remind residents to keep a close watch on the latest weather forecasts and early warnings to prepare for the drop in temperatures.
