A 28-day-old Andean female baby condor chick nuzzles up to a latex puppet that represents an adult at the Buenos Aires Zoo, November 27, 2007. The puppet is designed to prevent the baby bird from becoming attached to humans. Chicks bred this way are released into their natural environment when their plumage is fully developed.
