Bribery trial
FAN HUIMING, former chairman of Shenzhen Lionda Holding Co. Ltd., stood trial at the Shenzhen Intermediate People抯 Court on Monday on charges of embezzling 10 million yuan (US$1.41 million) in public funds and taking bribes.
Fan, who is nearly 70 years old, was arrested last year in Beijing after being on the run for nine years.
Man held
A MAN from Northeast China was stopped Monday while attempting to board a flight to South Korea using a forged visa.
The man, who claimed to be the manager of a cosmetics company, held a business visa, but after questioning, he admitted to having forged the visa to work in South Korea.
