POLICE have captured nine suspects allegedly responsible for the bombing of a township government building, the Tibet Autonomous Regional Department of Social Security said Saturday.
The bombing occurred at 3:50 a.m. on March 23 in Gyanbe Township, Konjo County, Qambo Prefecture.
Local police cracked the case April 6 and apprehended the suspects, headed by a 27-year-old ring leader named Rinqen Jamcan.
Cewang Yexe, one of the suspects, brought a homemade bomb to the site and moved it into the office building with the help of others. They then detonated the bomb and fled.
All suspects are monks affiliated with the town?ˉs Tongxia Monastery. They have confessed to the crime.
