A section of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the longest trans-oceanic bridge in the world, is seen in this photo. The bridge will open to the public May 1,2008. It connects Haiyan County, Jiaxing City of Zhejiang Province in the north with Ningbo City in the south. Construction on the bridge started June 8, 2003. It is 36 km long with six expressway lanes in two directions.
