MORE than 80,000 jobseekers visited a job fair held at the Wuzhou Guest House on Saturday, braving stormy weather brought about by Typhoon Neoguri.
Nearly 200 well-known companies, including IBM and Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co. Ltd., offered more than 4,000 vacancies at the fair, with an annual salary of at least 80,000 yuan (US$11,429).
According to the event’s organizers Western Shenzhen Human Resources Market (WesternHR) and JobEMS, many companies conducted interviews at the job fair Saturday. The recruitment process will be completed through the Internet.
“Internet recruitment is an effective way to extend recruiting time and attract more jobseekers without being affecting by bad weather,” said Zhou Qian, marketing manager of WesternHR.
Management and R&D vacancies accounted for 67 percent of all vacancies available at the job fair. Another 14 percent of the vacancies were for highly experienced and skilled personnel.
