Staff from the city's center for disease control and prevention (CDC) introduce free inoculations to young mothers Friday at Xiasha Market, Futian District, during the Free Inoculations Reception Day held by the CDC. Children in Shenzhen, including those of expatriates, aged 3 months to 6 years, are eligible for a total of 11 free inoculations against 16 infectious diseases. The CDC urged parents to have their children vaccinated against measles as soon as possible. There have been a total of 1,003 measles cases reported in the city from January to April 20 this year.
