Featuring inspiring art by members of Shenzhen Free Art Base (SFAB), this group exhibition marks the reopening of the SFAB after it was destroyed by fire in Nanshan District in February.

Daniel Chan at Le-Nest
Hong Kong pop star Daniel Chan will perform at Le-Nest in Luohu District next week.
Chan, who started singing in 1993, was a student of Dai Si-chung, a well-known singing teacher in Hong Kong. Dai also taught Leon Lai and Faye Wong. Since 1997, Chan has released more than 20 albums and starred in 11 films.

through the lens
A total of 115 photographs of the late Chinese leader Mao Zedong taken by his official photographer Lu Houmin are on display.
The exhibition, commemorating the 115th anniversary of the birth of Mao, features many of Lu’s black and white pieces and prize winners, including some never-before-published photo records. Among them, highlights include “Mao Zedong in Lushan,” “Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai,” and “Mao Zedong Embraced by Artist Xie Xiumei.”
In 1958, Lu worked as a photojournalist with Xinhua News Agency and between 1961 and 1964, he accompanied Mao and his retinue.
