A total of 55 paintings by the late Chinese master painters Lu Yanshao (1909-1993), Tang Yun (1910-1993) and Song Wenzhi (1919-1999) are on display at Shenzhen Art Museum until May 4. Titled “Master Painters in Shenzhen,” the exhibition showcases Lu’s landscapes, Tang’s flowers and birds and Song’s poetic country scenes, which were created in their later years. Besides the paintings on display, the exhibition includes documents and photographs which enable visitors to learn more about the significant contributions made by the three master painters to the development of fine arts in Shenzhen, where they spent their last years in the late 1980s and 1990s.
