TEHRAN, Iran: Iran has prepared a package of “serious” proposals to help defuse a nuclear row with world powers, chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said yesterday after talks with a top Russian official.

JERUSALEM: Israel would be open to participating in a senior-level meeting with the Syrians brokered by Turkey to test the waters for renewed peace negotiations, Israeli officials said Sunday. Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan held talks with Syrian President Bashar al Assad over the weekend.
