SHENZHEN residents can expect a three-day May Day holiday with an average temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and occasional showers.

The temperature will range from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius. Most of the coming week will be cloudy and humid with slight haze and sunny intervals. There will be scattered showers during the three-day holiday, the latter part of the week, sources from the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said yesterday.

The observatory reminded holidaymakers to exercise caution over the next few days because of strong winds, low visibility and slippery roads that would accompany the rain.

People traveling to other cities in Guangdong Province are warned of slippery road conditions as heavy rain will affect northern regions of the province during the first two days of the holiday. There will be occasional rain in the western and eastern parts of Guangdong during the holiday.
