Yang Xuefei, a Beijing-born classical guitarist based in Britain, will treat Shenzhen audiences to popular guitar pieces Saturday. The repertoire will include “El Condor Pasa,” “Asturias Leyenda,” “Carnival of Venice,” “Valses Poeticos” and “Venezuelan Waltzes.”
In the world of classical guitar, Yang is among the few Chinese musicians well-known internationally. She was the first guitarist in China to receive an international scholarship from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music for her postgraduate studies at Royal Academy of Music in London.
