Ferry capsizes

A FERRY capsized late Saturday off the coast of Haiti, killing at least 20 people, including five children, and leaving dozens more missing, authorities said Sunday.

A POLICE wagon collided with a car in Shanghai on Sunday night, leaving two pedestrians dead, the Shanghai police authority confirmed yesterday.

U.S. aid

THE first U.S. military aid flight landed in Myanmar yesterday. Greeting the C-130 military transport plane at Yangon airport was Myanmar Navy commander-in-chief Soe Thein, who promised to deliver the supplies “as soon as possible” to the cyclone-hit region, a U.S. embassy official in Yangon said.
