While attending the Fourth ICIF, Mehdi Mostafavi, president of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in Iran, will sign a memo with officials of the Chinese Culture Ministry to strengthen cultural exchange between the two countries.

"China and Iran would have much cooperation in the coming years in movies, music, painting as well as arts and crafts businesses,"said Mostafavi in an interview Thursday. The two countries would also improve cooperation in the tourism and academic fields, he said.

Besides, the two countries will improve cooperation in tourism and academic fields.

Once cultural exchange between the two countries had developed, cooperation in other fields would be easier. For example, trade between the two countries reached US$2 billion in 2007, according to Mostafavi.

"Industrialization of culture is a new topic, and Shenzhen has industrialized the culture, which is one of the important aspect for the cooperation between Iran and Shenzhen," said Mostafavi.

"Technology is very important as a country develops, but the cultural spirit and cultural products can not be ignored," said Mostafavi.

Mostafavi said he was very interested in every part of the ICIF, and believed cultural products that would be displayed in the fair could help people from different countries communicate without language.
