Rukia Nakadama Isanga, vice minster of culture in Uganda who was visitingn Shenzhen for the first time, said she regarded the ICIF as a platform for her to learn more about Chinese culture.

"There is no cultural fair in Uganda at the moment, and I will open eyes and ears and take the chance to learn how Chinese organize such a big cultural event, and maybe Uganda would have a cultural fair like this one next year,"said Isanga in an interview Thursday, after visiting the Curio World.

Isanga was deeply impressed with the Chinese calligraphy at the Curio World, though she could not read the Chinese characters.Apart from the cultural exchange in acrobatic performances, which were popular in Uganda, Isanga she believed that handmade arts and crafts could be another important area for cooperation in the cultural field between Shenzhen and Uganda.
