Reports sought
SHENZHEN procuratorate authorities at municipal and district levels are asking residents to report misconduct by government officials through personal visits, letters and online posts next week during a nationwide campaign to be launched Monday.
Entrance exams
A RECORD 50,700 junior high school students in Shenzhen will take the two-day senior high school entrance examinations starting Saturday. The number is 4,965 more than that of last year.
Transport hub
THE Futian Transport Hub, a seamless terminal combining Metro, buses, long-distance coaches, taxis and private cars, was put into operation Thursday.
The terminal will be on 143 bus routes including 73 routes in Guangdong Province and 70 inter-province routes.
RBM30,000 reward
A HK businesswoman, who claimed to have been swindled out of more than 800,000 yuan (US$114,285) by her Australian boyfriend, has offered a 30,000-yuan reward for information to help her track down the man, identified as Richard.
The woman, who gave her name only as Mary, has left her phone number on many Web sites, hoping to get tips from Internet users.
