THE flight from Shenzhen to Bangkok was canceled yesterday after anti-government protesters stormed Suvarnabhumi airport in the Thai capital.
Shenzhen International Airport said it had canceled the Asiana Airlines service and would resume the flight only after the situation in Bangkok had improved.
Bangkok was a popular destination for Shenzhen travelers, but the cancellation would not affect local tourism much as November and December were low season and there was only one flight from Shenzhen to Bangkok a day, the airport said.
Hong Kong canceled all 26 flights to Bangkok yesterday, leaving thousands of passengers stranded as a result of the closure of Suvarnabhumi airport.
