    FUTIAN District plans to build eight high-end industrial clusters around the Central Business District (CBD), according to an international seminar titled Futian Circum-CBD High-end Industrial Belt yesterday.

    According to the initial plan of the district government, the Chegongmiao area will be renovated into a high-tech and innovative industrial park and southern Futian will be built into a culture center and an industrial center focusing on Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation.

    The Futian Free Trade Zone will be a modern logistics center, and the Shangbu area will be a leader in electronic product sales. Bagualing and Caitian will be the base for multinational headquarters, and the Meilin area will be a park for the aviation and aerospace industries.

    “We will promote comprehensive transformation to turn the district into a base for high-end industries,” said Li Ping, secretary of the Futian District Committee of the CPC, at the seminar. In the district’s development blueprint, the eight industries will merge around Beihuan Road, Xiangmihu Road and Binhe Road.

    Located in the downtown area of Futian, Shenzhen CBD, at 4.13 square kilometers, is home to 30 five-star office buildings and hotels and 102 world Top 500 multinationals.
