一位著名的建筑师周三时说，于今年秋天在中心区开幕的深圳中心书城将会像巴黎的卢浮宫。

这位建筑师叫威廉·卡斯特，是世界著名的凯里森建筑公司的CEO，他说：“就中心书城的规模、位置及在深圳市的作用来讲，它相当于巴黎的卢浮宫。”．卡斯特的公司负责中心书城的室内设计，面积达8.2万平方米。他是在周三考察深圳中心书城项目现场时说这番话的。

卡斯特说，中心书城与深圳市新图书馆和音乐厅相邻，是世界上最大的同类书城。“在别的地方你是不可能在城市的文化中心找到这么大的书城的。”

卡斯特希望中心书城不仅是人们可以购书的地方，同样也是放松、会友的场所。

中心书城将设有外文书、二手书专区，全天24小时营业，还会有一间茶室，星巴克咖啡屋，让人们在购物中得到享受。
